Sucker Punch Live Art Event

So last night was the Live Art event for Sucker Punch at Movie Tavern, where our own Tressa and Justin both participated in. I went to the 7:15 showing of the movie, checked out some of the artsy stuff, and took a few pictures that I wanted to share! So without further adieu...

Here's Tressa working on her drawing of the main girl, Baby Doll. This is where she was at before I went in to the movie.

This pretty little drink right here is one of Movie Tavern's promotional special drinks they do for certain movies. It was called (and aptly named) a Sucker Punch, and it was made up of Captain Morgan spiced rum, peach schnapps, sweet and sour mix, orange juice, sprite, and topped with grenadine. It's one of those dangerous mixed drinks that you can taste the alcohol, but barely, so it's one of the ones that would get me sooo wasted. Unfortunately, I was the driver, so I could only have a few sips... lol.

Here is where Tressa was at with her Baby Doll when I got out of the movie!! All adorable and colored. :-D She wasn't quite done, but she just had those last minute touches to add.

And my last picture of the night is the final product of the art that Justin was working on. Too cool! :) It's the bunny that is on a machine (or...it's kind of a robot, but not quite a Gundam, you could say) the girls use in their first "big battle" -- and if you've seen the movie, or once you do, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

That's all I really got, but it was a lot of fun! I guess that's all from me for now!

Kerry over and out. =^.^=

Artist of The Month: Gonzalo Ordóñez Arias

It's almost the end of the March so I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to check out our current artist of the month Gonzalo Ordóñez Arias, also known as GENZOMAN. He's a personal favorite of mine. ~Matt

I discovered Gonzalo while playing Castle Age on Facebook. I noticed that many of the bosses in Castle Age used beautiful images by an artist who sigened his work as "Genzo" with a funny "O."

With a quick Google search I discovered the Devaint Art page for GENZOMAN and was blown away by how much art was out there by this guy. He has this aweseome hybrid anime/comic style which I totally dig! He's also from Chile, which I think is really cool. ^_^ If you love anime, mythology and fantasy then you’ll really like his illustrations.

I should also point out that Gonzalo has an art book coming out (which I've mentioned on the PodCast before) entitled "Legendary Visions: The Art of GENZOMAN." I've already pre-ordered a copy on Amazon ^_^ for only $25.85. Anyway, just wanted to point this guy out cause I think he's awesome.

This is the world as I see it.

This is What I'm Listening To...Booty Bounce & Bass Down Low by Dev

Check out "Booty Bounce" and "Bass Down Low" by Dev.

Dev was discovered by The Cataracs when she made a "super-weird and super-different"cover to an Amy Winehouse song and posted it onto MySpace. The cover, which was recorded on her MacBook, was made in response to her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend, calling it a "diss track".

Dev is currently working on her debut album The Night the Sun Came Up with the Cataracs. Release date is currently TBA.

This is what I'm listening to.

This is What I'm Listening To...Price Tag by Jessie J

Check out "Price Tag" by Jessie J from her debut album, Who You Are. The song features American rapper B.o.B.

Jessie J (Jessica Ellen Cornish) is a British singer and songwriter. She first saw fame when she began writing tracks for Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera and Miley Cyrus. The most successful track she co-wrote is "Party in the U.S.A.", which gained Platinum certification in many countries. This song, thankfully, is MUCH better.

The US version of the album Who You Are will be released on April 12, 2011.

This is what I'm listening to.

TRON: Uprising Teaser Trailer

If you're a fan of Tron and cartoons...then you might be excited about this little teaser.  The story focuses on an era of the "TRON" storyline that transpires after the popular 1982 feature film and before the story in Walt Disney Studios' most recent film TRON: Legacy.  I actually quite liked the most recent film and the I'm digging the style of this cartoon.
