Hey gang! We as BCP wanted to open up the airwaves to our listeners! We invite you all to e-mail us comments and discussion topics/questions in an audio format (mp3 preferred) and we may play it on the show to spark a debate or perhaps a fist fight! @_@
Comments can be anything from saying that you like/hate the show, to a comment about something you heard on a prior episode. Topics can be...well, anything! Try us! Send us something serious, something funny, something stupid...you never know what we'll pick! LOL
And finally we invite you to record and send us your GEEK GUILTY PLEASURES!!! Did you have a save file right before the sex scene in Mass Effect that you play over and over again, because your Shepherd and Liara just look SOO HOOOT together? Do you listen to Dolly Parton and finger paint when it's raining outside? We want to know what the fuck makes you WEIRD like us!!
For all of these, feel free to drop your name, or not, and keep the comments brief and to the point...no more than 30 seconds if possible.
This is just another way we at BCP are trying to make you all a part of the show with us! We hope to have a voicemail set up in the future...but we don't know how to do that yet...so for now, use your smart phone, laptop or PC mic and send us your clips (audicity is a great FREE recording program). Who knows, maybe you'll be on the next episode of Beaucoup Pop!

Felicia Day Launches Geek and Sundry!
If you are a regular visitor to sites like Beaucoup Pop, chances are you've heard of Felicia Day. If not, shame on you! Just kidding (sort of). But if for some reason you are unfamiliar with her, let me tell you why you should rectify that little oversight immediately.
See, Felicia Day is a huge geek, and as such she has been an ambassador of geek culture for about the last decade in one form or another. Known primarily for her role as writer, producer and star of The Guild, Day is also a very talented writer, actress, singer and all-around cool person. She has also starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Eureka and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
Now I'm not here to discuss her resume. No I'm here to talk about her latest project. Spearheaded alongside fellow executive producers Kim Evey and Sheri Bryant, Geek & Sundry, is a new YouTube channel offering a full slate of original programming covering catered towards nerds the world over. And trust me when I tell you that this isn't your typical "geek programming." You are not likely to find interviews with fellow card-carrying members of the geek community, or a bunch of videos from the floor of the latest convention, or a roundtable reviewing their favorite comic books or video games (not that there is anything wrong with that). No, the minds behind Geek & Sundry have set out to give viewers something unique, shows that are not expressly geek oriented, but will appeal to their overall interests. They've given us shows we never knew we wanted, but now we'll be grateful that we have them.

MOVIES
Shame (Blu-ray/ DVD)
(04/17/12)
I love Michael Fassbender, so, of course, I thought this movie was SO GOOD! Very depressing though, not because of one thing in particular, but just because of how unhappy and abused everyone in this movie really is. :-(

Draw Me Like One Of Your French Girls
Hi again everyone! With all the artists that are featured on Beaucoup Pop and the fact that the con season is here, I thought I would give you all some of my thoughts on being on the other side of things...that of being the consumer. Hopefully you can learn a thing or two from my experiences with a project that I started with last year.
I have always been a big fan of sequential art and have been reading comics ever since I found my older brother's stash of Uncanny X-Men and Man-Thing comics and Heavy Metal magazines. Over the years I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing local artists who work in and around comics and I wanted to figure out a way for me have a small piece of work by these talented people that would be easy for me to display in my Nerd Lair (calling it a "man cave" just doesn't seem appropriate for what all is housed there). So, last summer I started commissioning sketch cards from local artist friends and what started as a small project has continued to grow and grow until I have needed to buy bigger and bigger displays. Here are some things I have learned that can maybe help anyone else out there who is considering commissioning some of their own original art (with some samples of my favorite pieces).

New Releases for 04/10/12
SECKMANS SELECTIONS
Busy busy week preparing for C2E2, but there are still new releases to mention. So here we have a few of my suggestions for the week of April 10, 2012!
MOVIES
Excellent Bio Pic starring the amazing Meryl Streep. While I may have wished for Viola Davis (or Glenn Close) to win this years Academy Award, there's no denying that Meryl give an excellent performance and transforms on screen. I recommend the movie to everyone!

Barbie's Back...Nicki Minaj Reloaded
Usually, I sit down upon first listening to an album in its entirety to do an album review for BCP, but after having a discussion with Matt last night about his first thoughts on Nicki Minaj's new CD, I was hesitant to hear it. I haven't been impressed with her David Guetta collaboration "Turn Me On," which is so repetitive that I just turn it off, or her single "Starships," which seems herky-jerky and all over the place with it's out of place "we're higher than a mother....." antics and random dance breaks.
I'm always scared when I hear someone break out with a new style and fresh outlook on their debut because I fear (and so should the artist) the dreaded "Sophomore slump." They had enough great ideas for a brilliant debut, but their 2nd album falls totally flat.
Since Matt wasn't totally impressed I was pretty reluctant to put this one on, but I listened to it this morning, then stumbled across an album review of it at a Yahoo related blog I check in on for hip hop news called "Hip Hop Media Training," by Billy Johnson, Jr. and his album review is spot on and I agree with his assessment 100%. Check it out! What do you think?

What the Hell's Going on Here?
What up Poopers!...errrr, Poppers!! @_@ That typo was WAY to funny to correct. LOL!
So hey, the BCP gang took last weekend off from recording for some much needed rest as we come down off the Lexington Comic & Toy Convention and (some of us) prepare for C2E2 next weekend and SPACE the following weekend.
Since April is such as Convention heavy month for us, we are unable to record new episodes for two weekends. Now wait, wait....back away from that ledge! You'll still be able to get your daily dose of Geekery! How so? First, we took the chance to post one of our older episodes, Episode 25 - Inside The Nostalgia, where interview Caseen Gaines, author of the book Inside Pee-wee's Playhouse, an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the hit television show Pee-wee's Playhouse, as well as the rise, fall, and rise again of the Pee-wee Herman phenomenon!!

New Releases for 04/03/12
SECKMANS SELECTIONS
Here's a look at some of the things coming out the week of April 03, 2012. It's a weak week in my opinion. Nicki Minaj has a new album out, which I was excited about...but I'm mixed on it. First couple of tracks....eeeeeeeeek. I'll update once I've had a chance to listen to more.
