New Releases for 04/17/12 & 04/24/12

SECKMANS SELECTIONS

Hey gang! Sorry I missed last weeks new releases. I'm aSHAMEd...eh, eh...you'll see what I did there, here in a bit. ^_^ Anywho, here's a look at some of the things coming out the weeks of April 17 & 24, 2012! There's a SHIT TON!!

MOVIES

Shame (Blu-ray/ DVD)
(04/17/12)
I love Michael Fassbender, so, of course, I thought this movie was SO GOOD! Very depressing though, not because of one thing in particular, but just because of how unhappy and abused everyone in this movie really is. :-(

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (Blu-ray/DVD)
(04/17/12)
I hate Tom Cruise, but this movie was a fun watch.

American Dad!: Volume Seven
(04/17/12)
Great season and so funny! Much better than Family Guy.

Bob's Burgers: Season 1
(04/17/12)
Wasn't a fan of this show at first, but it eventually grew on me, and now I really like it. Glad it's back for another season. It's really weird...but in a charming kind of way.

The Legend of the Legendary Heroes: Part One (Blu-ray/DVD Combo)
(04/17/12)
Comes with wide artbox to hold both blu-ray/dvd cases!

The Legend of the Legendary Heroes: Part 2 (Blu-ray / DVD Combo)
(04/17/12)

Titanic (Blu-ray/ DVD Combo)
(04/24/12)
I was really excited when I heard this mini-series was being made. It was written by Julian Fellowes, who co-created and wrote Downton Abby! Reviews have been mixed and the complaints are that it is choppy and there are too many characters. Many of these opinions were based on the American Televised version, which had a lot of commercials. Hopefully it's better just watching strait through. I have all 4 episodes to watch, so we'll see! ^_^

Marvel Anime: X-Men - Complete Series
(04/24/12)
I've heard not so great things about the Marvel Animes, but the DVDs are pretty cheap, so I say, why not give 'em a try? The Boobs are just plain stilly, but that's anime for you. :-|

Marvel Anime: Iron man - Complete Series
(04/24/12)

MUSIC

Love Is a Four Letter Word by Jason Mraz
(04/17/12)

California 37 by Train
(04/17/12)

Moving Up Living Down by Eric Hutchinson
(04/17/12)

Blunderbuss by Jack White
(04/24/12)

Everything in the World by Wanting
(04/24/12)
Another random find (I love making those!) This is the Vancouver-based singer-songwriter's first full-length studio album. Wanting, a self-taught musician with a voice similar to that of Chantal Kreviazuk, Anna Nalick, and Christina Perri.

Belated recognition!
Strange Case of by Halestorm
(04/10/12)
I just discovered this today. It's is a really grood rock album! The second album by this band. Think of Kelly Clarkson, if she only did rock with more of a punch.

VIDEO GAMES

The House of the Dead 4 (PSN)
(04/17/12)
The PlayStation 3 version featuring support for PlayStation Move and two stages from The House of the Dead 4 Special! The game is an interquel and takes place between the events of The House of the Dead 2 and The House of the Dead III, and introduced several new gameplay concepts. Players can control characters James Taylor, from The House of the Dead 2, or Kate Green, a new character to the series.
Side Note: The House of the Dead 4 Special is a two-player attraction based on The House of the Dead 4. Players enter an enclosed room, sit down, and buckle up. The game makes use of two 100-inch screens, one in front of the players and another behind, as well as a five-speaker sound system, giving the impression that enemies are attacking from all directions. The seat shakes when zombies attack, and players are blasted with air whenever they take on damage. The seat automatically rotates to face the players towards whichever screen zombies are attacking from. The game also features a new addition of a life bar. As the players are hit the life bar diminishes. If the life bar is reduced to zero the game is over. There are no continues. <-Sounds AWESOME! too bad you can't have THAT at home! :)

We bought The Witcher. I haven't played it at all yet but Michael's been all about that game. What I've seen is pretty good so far. Lots of boobies, let me tell you. Whew. XD
I REALLY enjoyed Ghost Protocol. I honestly haven't seen ANY of the other Mission Impossible movies, but this one was pretty freaking sweet. Planning on picking it up at some point.
