SECKMANS SELECTIONS
This is the week of MUSIC, let me tell you! So many great albums coming out this week. You could easily spend $100 @_@! Movie...meh...there's a cool box set of Tim Burton movies and a Fassy film, but that's about it, IMO. And nothing in video games. So, here's a look at some of the things coming out the week of May 01, 2012!
MOVIES
The Tim Burton Collection With Book (Amazon.com Exclusive) [Blu-ray]
Beetlejuice
Batman
Batman Returns
Mars Attacks!
Corpse Bride
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Haywire
MUSIC
Master of My Make-Believe by Santigold
I LOVE SANTIGOLD!! Her new album is excellent! An excellent follow up to her self-titled debut from 2008. Worth...The...Wait!
Little Broken Hearts by Norah Jones
Another great album by Nora. Produced by Danger Mouse. If you like The Fall...the you'll like this as well.
Out of the Game by Rufus Wainwright
Blown Away by Carrie Underwood
Not a fan of country generally, but Carrie's albums are always fun to me. Little hee-haw in some places, but from what I can tell, there's a couple of cross-over tunes in there too! ^_^
Orangefarben by Sea of Bees
Stumbled on this chick while previewing some albums on NPR. Really dig her sound. This is her second album, her first in '09, i believe. I'm gonna have to check this one out!
Avengers Assemble [Soundtrack]
I don't know what I think about the line up of artists/song on this "Soundtrack." No, I take that back...I DO know what I think...they're lame and disappointing. If you're into Papa Roach, Bush, Evanescence and all that kink of "rock music" then I guess you might like it. Not for me. Bleh!
The Avengers [Score]
Now THIS however, I can get behind. Composed by Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Mummy Returns, Van Helsing, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra)
Cabin in the Woods [Soundtrack]
Composed by David Julyan (Memento, Insomnia, The Prestige, [The] Descent)
The Music of SMASH [Soundtrack]
Born Villain by Marilyn Manson
and for those of you who remember THIS guy, look who has a new album out...first one since 2009 and now partly under his own label, Hell, Etc. So far, the response is positive. I really DIG this cover. It's creepy, enticing and sad all at the same time.
The Tim Burton Collection With Book (Amazon.com Exclusive) [Blu-ray]
Holy crap! How cool is this little boxset! And luckily I don't have ANY of these on Blu-Ray!! True, it's not all of his movies, and some really good ones are missing, but that's becuase this was released by Warner Bros. and these are all his WB films.

Rufus is BACK baby! This is exactly the kind of album I hope for when I hear he has a new record!! I previewed it on NPR and holy shit...it's AMAZING!!

Marilyn Manson has a new album?! Hell yes. I'm down with that. ^_^ I've always enjoyed his music. And that Tim Burton box is pretty nice. Very tempting.
I just added Manson's album to Spotify and I just started on track 1. Although Antichrist Superstar is hands down my favorite Manson album, I've really enjoyed his stuff since then. Not every track is a winner but overall I've been pleased. Let's see how this one measures up.
